As website designers in Lincolnshire, we have offered our own video services throughout the County for some time but this collaboration with a specialist television production company allows us to extend a much wider range of professional video services.

We’ve now finished the video for Normanby Park Riding School, which is situated in the grounds of the impressive Regency manor near Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. Authored in Flash 8, the video can viewed at www.normanbyriding.co.uk/events07.html. It’s always interesting carrying out website design work for the riding school, the staff and riders are very friendly and the horses are all real characters’!  This latest project has been particularly enjoyable as we were given free rein (excuse the pun) to trial the use of a larger video viewer. At 400px x 225px this is bigger than we’ve previously employed on any website, but with broadband connections becoming faster we felt the decison was justified. We’ve used the latest On2 VP6 codec and the video streams at 400Kbps, which should allow enough headroom on the majority of broadband connections to play without stalling. We  would be interested in feedback in respect of how the video downloads on a range of connections, feel free to post your comments.

We’ve also carried out updates to the horses gallery page at www.normanbyriding.co.uk/horses.html This was necessary as we originally built the website in 2006, since then several horse have left and new ones have joined the riding school. Also, the original photo were taken on a less than perfect day when the horses themselves were not looking their best. These latest photos we think show them off much better!
